Something i was e-mailed today by a local, ...lol!!
The Basic's

When the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great, but when government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed.

An economics professor at a local college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before, but had recently failed an entire class. That class had insisted that socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, ...a great equalizer!!

The professor then said, "OK, we will have an experiment in this class".. All grades will be averaged and everyone will receive the same grade so no one will fail and no one will receive an A.... (substituting grades for dollars - something closer to home and more readily understood by all).

After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B. The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy. As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they studied little.

The second test average was a D! No one was happy.
When the 3rd test rolled around, the average was an F.

As the tests proceeded, the scores never increased as bickering, blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else.

To their great surprise, ALL FAILED and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great, but when government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed.
Could not be any simpler than that.
But it's the very reasons why true communism can, ...and will,
never work!!

Communism, The impossible utopia due to mans greed....

Very true mate but if a local is passing that round and the storys we hear are true I wouldn't like to be in his shoes

well its like the old eastern bloc and its inability to exercise quality control of its manufactured goods.....the factory proletariat knowing that regardles of their ability..or inability to do the job rite...the state would provide....

That is a very capitalistic and rich persons explanation of why the mass of people,ie the workjing class. can be warned off from shaking the boat of injustice

What about the socilaist, or as I prefer the humanitarian philosophy. of each to their ability and therefore each to their need

That statement has always failed, the reason it has always failed, is that the very same person who is happy to take from society more than his fellow human beings, is also the person who makes the rules that we live by

Until the greedy of humanity are removed from the equation/fairness and humanity can and will never succeeed
that is the only stumbling block, its not the system its the problem that greedy humans are part of it

Haha.... If anyone knew China as it is today, they would know that it is more commercial than probably all of the Western world combined. It is as far removed from communism/socialism as you could get, it's only the government that plays the line, and then only when it suits them. After all, they are all becoming very wealthy politicians/people in their own right... lol!!

On paper communism is great...it means everyone is equal and there is no longer a massive divide between classes and the such. However as that test proved once the people who used to work hard to gain the reward they deserved begin to realise that others in the same situation not putting in the same effort are benefiting from the same rewards these people will start to put less effort in themselves. This as proven by the test brings down the overall work ethic and overall standards.

Would hate to be a student in his class :(
