Hi Chaps, I have reached the point where it maybe in my best interest to employ somebody to assist my company with labour/work demand... etc..!

im after a copy contract that any body else on here may have issued to their employees.

need to chat to my accountant as well as Currently sole trader and possibly may be in best interest to go LTD to remove my exposure / house from the potential pitfall....! that way i can pay my self more easier as well....!

any body able to enlighten me on the ways and means!

ltd is a good way to go, but more paperwork-- filing accounts etc. with companies house. one thing to look at, if you can find a potential employee who is currently on the rock and roll, the government will pay you £60 a week for 6 months to employ him. gets him off their books. ( not sure if this is still in force )

Employees have a lot of rights. Are you a union member?, if so then give their legal helpline a call, otherwise try someone like citizens advice who may be able to point you in the right direction.

Cheers.........Howard

Steve... keep us posted how you get on .... come the new year think will be in same situation myself, also sole trader at the mo

will do matey will do...! only down side going S/T to Ltd is every thing has to change! bank a/c supplier a/c etc...! argh! pain in the backside!
