Hi all I have an outdoor wall light which is bolted from behind. Then a decorative nut threaded on the front.

As I push the plate on the bolt goes through leaving nothing for the bolt to grab on to one side as the wall is hollow on the back.

Such an easy job turned annoying lol. Anyone have any tips before I throw the light

The trademark features of a light fitting designed by a non-tradesman.

Sticky tape, blue tack, putty.... anything just to hold it in place

Cheers I can’t believe the fiddle with this fitting. Wiring takes five mins and then I’ve been messing about with this poxy bolt which keeps disappearing as I got to bolt up 😂. Blu tac may actually work well.

Thanks all
