Tidying my old van and garage up, got a mint condition big yellow book and a half decent on site guide, free to a good home if any trainee wants them?

I know they’re out of date now but may be of use to someone? Either that or they go in the bin!

Will post to first person that wants them (if anybody does!) can’t work out how to rotate the photo on my phone but they do turn round in real life and you don’t have to read them sideways:)

Hahaha! Crap mate, I get a couple of decent welds going after a few goes but then don’t do any for 3-4 months and the first ones look crap again!

Did a small repair to a seam on site a few weeks ago and as it was 2mm stainless it looked ok, it’s the thin stuff I keep burning through until I’ve had a few goes again

If you don’t get any takers for the books, I’ll take them off your hands.

Lol. It,s not as easy as it looks. Wait till you get to my age . I have a love hate relationship with the auto mask. ;)

Hi mate, no problem. I did think of giving them to a trainee but not really fussed as long as they don’t go to waste

Hate throwing stuff away that’s of use to someone else.

Pm details and I’ll send them out..

I know what you mean, I used to weld under a daylight flossy tube in the shed but on low amps my mask used to flash and get me every time! I try to weld in a darker place now.
If I did more of it I’d maybe get a better mask but the parweld one is ok for how often I use it

My mate has a super dooper space age one . It is really impressive , but like you I don't do enough now to get excited about it.
I used to really like the gas in days gone by , but in my old job it was mainly stick repairs we did . Always in the s...t too.

If they've not gone, I wouldn't object...

Just compiling a list of reference materials;

BBB, OSG, Guidance Notes 1-7 & Electrical Installation Design Guide: Calculations for Electricians and Designers (Electrical Regulations) & Electricians Guide to Building Regulations - All by IET, I know they're probably overkill for L2, but I'd rather have and not need, than need and not have.

Any other reference materials you guys think would be advisable?
