Overseas Shipholding Group is the operator of a fleet of twenty-four oil tankers and oil tug-barges. It is based in Tampa, Florida, United States, and was founded in 1948.In 1969, under the leadership of Raphael Recanati, OSG began acquiring tanker ships to transport oil from Alaska to the lower 48 U.S. states.In the 1990s, OSG began to acquire luxury cruise liners. In 1995, the cruise ships resulted in losses of over $12 million to OSG. As a result of the losses, Michael Recanati, the son of Raphael Recanati, was reported to have been forced to leave OSG.OSG has offices in Tampa, Florida and Newark, Delaware with nearly 900 sea and shore-based employees.The company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2012 after the SEC accused CEO Morten Arntzen and CFO Miles Itkin of falsifying financial statements. In 2017, the company paid a $75,000 fine to the SEC to settle the securities fraud allegations. Former CFO Miles Itkin also paid a separate $75,000 fine. The executives were sued by OSG and agreed to pay a $16.25 million settlement in 2015.

    UK Why don't values in the OSG table I1 match those calculated?

    Hi everyone. I am really puzzled by this, but I suppose there is an obvious answer / reason! Anyway, Table I1 in the OSG says the mΩ/m value for copper with a CSA of 25mm2 is 0.727. However, when I calculate the R value using the formula: I get 0.688... Does anyone know why the values aren't...

    Model EICR in OSG contains mistake(s)

    Just noticed that the model EICR in the OSG contains at least one mistake ... Nominal Frequency filled in as 150Hz ... I sense an IET corregendum on the way.

    Green OSG now available

    Got a green OSG from the IET stand at Elex for £17 today (normal price £24). Very first print run only just available today. Not had chance to read it yet but contains tables etc reflecting new amendments.

    OSG. Page 33. Is this right?

    Hello all. The other day I was leafing through the red OSG and for no reason started to read chapter 5, isolation and switching. At point ii for every other circuit it says blah blah blah......... The device must switch all live conductors in a TT system and all line conductors in a TN system...

    Hi people two questions- 1- which page in the osg where it tells you resistance of cables giving you the live sizes and cpc like 2.5 L 1.5cpc? 2- which page in osg and 7671 is the current carrying capacity of armoured cable. Not got the books to hand Thankyou!

    Which is wrong, the BRB, the OSG or ME!?

    I'm looking for the maximum value of Zs for a Type B 32A MCB. I have found the references in the BRB and OSG and they seem to differ. Please can someone check i'm not being stupid. :confused: Page 49 Table 41.3 of the BRB and Page 103 of the OSG. Thanks in advance.

    16th or 17th edition OSG and BS7671 regs

    got my part p assesment in 2 weeks or so, completed my two jobs back in early may to 16th standard, will i need the 17th edition OSG and regs or will my 16th be fine... what do you think?
