Hi all I have been told these are good drives for crane control? not used them yet but the prices seem a lot cheaper than the telemecanique alternative wondered if anyone had used them and or programmed them?

They are a cheap drive and wont come with as many features as the higher end ones.

Also depends on what the VSD will be controlling, long/cross travel? It will need special control to run the hoist.

Yes I Know they’re cheaper but reliability is the main thing I want. The hoist inverters I believe I need fuji Megas, and cross, long travel is Fuji frecnic ace/ mini.

Is there any software for the laptop to set parameters? Rather than on the display

Not entirely sure, but they are an almost copy of Mitsubishi drives. An that comes with software.

Don't know about reliability but we don't use them, they often don't have a high enough MTTF to fill the mission times set by clients.

I found the software the cable I need is a USB to RS485. I have one of these for the Schneider drives could it be used on any other make of drive? Would have thought RJ45 pin configuration would be the same. ?

The cable will be standard, you will just need to download the software. I’m sure they will have it on a disc with the drive or on the website/portal
