Somehow I'm loving the reeded timber faceplate surround...presumably there to cover the bad plasterwork, gaps etc. Yet, is that a Fire Point switch thingy? How nice to clothe that in a nice wooden surround...it's an emergency... but hey...look at what a nice surround it has!

Reminds me of a sign I saw at Glasgow airport...you know how they have a few defibrillators these days...
so, above one of those was the sign "Emergency Defibrillator"...
presumably to discourage casual use by those who just wanted a bit of a jolt because their flight was delayed...
