Im in a similar situation to mc497 in the thread below, but i'd like to become an electrician and work for someone else to start with.
Where do i start?
Things seem to change all the time.
Do i still do 16th,or go onto 17th edition?
Is 2391 the place to start/
Basically i need enough to get me in the door and go from there.
Any help is appreciated.

City and Guilds 2330 or EAL Domestic Installer Scheme.

Want to get a foot in the door? Try and get on as a labourer.

I work as a sparkies mate when there's work, so i know a wee bit.
Will look into that course, thanks.

Hi there, dont know what experience you have but if your starting from scratch you will need to do a Domestic Installers Course, 17th ed regs, C&G 2392 and Part P (thats P for Pants!). I know where the above courses are offered if you want more details let me know.

Cheers
