Generally speaking CLEAR heat-shrink tends to be a 2:1 or 3:1 shrunk size ratio, 4:1 is around but less common... has anyone ever found a source for 5:1 / 6+ ? RS list one that's a 6:1 but it's too narrow to start with (only 9mm). Cablecraft only go up to 4:1, too.
Normally we make our own but I recently bought in a large quantity of pre-made cables (data with XLR ends) and they all need marking up prior to going into rental stock... desoldering one end of each just to slip a length of clear heatshrink will be a complete b-ache of a job!!
