This is a still from the latest Avengers film. Thank you for reinforcing the stereotype that the Scots eat unhealthily. Deep fried Kebab. Really?

They also portray Scotland with empty streets. Even at night time when this scene takes place, there would be people sitting in doorways, munching on their aforementioned kebab.

I have to hold my hands up and admit I have never had a deep fried mars bar.
There is a butcher near me that does an Easter special of a Scotch Egg with a Crème egg inside.

I only eat kebabs when I had a few, think a deep fried one would be a step too far.

I remember going into a Scottish takeaway and asking for a pizza. Expecting a freshly cooked disc of dough becrested with fresh produce, I was slightly disappointed when the fella grabbed a cut slice from the fridge and dumped it in the fryer. Savages, the lot of them.

My local chippy does deep fry pizza slices, and cheeseburgers.
For a more exotic dish, head over to the Chinese takeaway where the deep fry banana and pineapple and call them fritters.
Its one of your 5 a day.
