My wife nearly died a few years back giving birth. As fast as they pumped the blood into to her it came back out the ’lady regions’. She was in theatre for 8 hours whilst they saved her life and went through 2.5 persons worth of blood. At the time it was the biggest transfusion the hospital had done.

It was a sobering moment and ever since I’ve given blood though I think I’ve a long way to go to pay back the debt!
 
i've been lucky. never needed a blood transfusion. if i ever do it will need to be 50% blood and 50% Theakston's. o_Oo_Oo_O
