Yeh Dillb that did cross my mind as well but he wants a solution that if fool prove while spending as least money as poss and that includes me to fit whatever for nothing.

Freezer will stay frozen 8 hours or more if it's not opened and full up....tell him to get off his fat arse and go out and check it twice a day.

Well if you're not going to fix the freezer, you might as well carry on Heath-Robinson style. Use the same circuit to power an electromagnet holding up a chunk of metal, positioned so that it falls on the knob of a CO2 fire extinguisher when the magnet lets go. Run a hose from the extinguisher to the house and put a nice big air horn on the end of it. Safe, reliable non-electric solution.
I can also recommend a small anchor to carry in the car if your brakes don't work.

I'm only giving you a ribbing about it because in my experience it can be something simple and cheap to fix, e.g. my friend had a freezer that tripped the RCD every now and then, it was water in the defrost element, cost a tenner and 20 mins to put right. And we had one at work, I think that was the evap fan motor wiring chafed against the fins, took a bit of heat shrink and a cable tie.
look for dead mice around under the freezer. they sometimes short out wires, fault found mostly in restaurants.
