Insulation restistance on heating system

Hi, I do not work on a lot of heating systems but when doing an insulation restistance test on a S plan heating system do you only remove the digital programmer?

you could do 500v IR test to the FCU & then 250v from the FCU to the heating.

or 500v with L & N connected together to earth.

Cheers Loki, I have to do the test voltage at 500v and remove anything that may be damaged I’m thinking just the digital programmer and the thermostat?

if it's for your am2, you only have to do IR up to the spur
