Hi guys,

Any idea what you would price to install this lot?

5500 meters of single core
4 lengths of 100 x 100 PVC trunking
3 lengths of 75 x 75 PVC trunking

All work is surface mount on concrete by the way.

400 meters of 20mm PVC conduit
7 shower isolators
20 double sockets
17 pendant light points
10 x 5 foot fluorescents
2 small non maintained emergency lights
18 switches
14 single socket points
1 fused spur point

All in all 36 circuits.

Wire DB only and test

Cheers

Ermmm! not wanting to sound funny here but you seriously want someone to spend alot of their time working out a price for a large install... had it been a random circuit yes maybe a ballparrk but such a price is dependant on installation conditions, discount you get at wholesalers are you using labourers, is scaffolding required etc etc
I hope this isnt posted as lazyness on your part but to just list out a full install and ask for a price makes it appear so.

to price that would mean surveying the job on site, costing materials, then estimating the time it will take, factoring in overheads, problems, etc.etc.

i could do it for you on a consultancy basis. £ 75/hour + expenses.

If you run a company Ross then join the Electricians Arms as this is a more suited area to discussing pricing etc out of the general public eye, we can happily give you a guide in there if your tripping over yourself but agree with Tel here and what ive already said that its too big a job to throw a ballpark at and shouldn't be discussed really in the public section of the forum about pricing structure, discounts profit margins etc.

Thanks guys, ive already priced it.
First commercial, thats all.
I understand the points youve made. Will try and join the arms when i get time. Things v busy at mo.

So how much do you reckon to do it then as it appears you want someone to spend time giving you a ball park figure and although you are busy you still find time to ask a very open ended question on here

Why not ask does £XXXXX sound right for this job and get opinion that way

How about a cyrstal ball as how the hell can we give you a price without knowing the type or layout of a building, what you are using scaffolding, MEWP, ladders
