My workplace have recently installed these devices into the ceilings of all the rooms in the building. In the past there was a case with one of my colleagues where our workplace installed hidden cameras into the digital clocks. We went on a strike and they consequently removed them. Now, i'm pretty sure its just a motion sensor for the lights, but is there a chance there's a hidden pinhole camera in the hole? It's got a 3 prong plastic piece on top of the hole as you can see, so I doubt a lens could film much with that in the way anyway? Does anyone know the brand of this motion sensor just so I can put my mind at ease. Cheers, dek

Could be an enviro ENV802F or then again it could be a secret camera. Who knows? Does it turn the lights on and off?

yep, im sure it is a motion sensor, im just worried about whether there's also a hidden camera in the little hole. Most motion sensors ive come across haven't had that, any idea what its for?

It's a occupancy sensor and the little lens to the side is a infrared sensor because you use a remote to set them up.

It's a Photocell,,,Or is it???

You should applaud your employer for taking energy conservation seriously,, even if they are a few years late getting on the bandwagon.

Cant really see the problem if your work place want to install cameras why shouldn't they, sounds like there are allot of employees who like to muck around and take the **** on company time, surely there are better things to strike about then cameras?

Are they in the toilets?
lol
If you can't sense a motion you shouldn't be in the toilet.....maybe the reason for a camera.......up yer jacksie.

reminds me of when we put up a fake camera one night and aimed it at the bosses office
he was not impressed:laugh3:

Not a LED that indicates the unit is still sensing movement is it?? Most, if not all the PIR's i've known incorporates these LED indicators...
