Lets say, hypothetically, one was to complete an electrical installation as part of a refurbishment, and after completion of first fit a plumber drags his plastic heating piping through the joist holes so they snuggle alongside your T&Es.
You notice and rectify, the instal is no longer compromised. But this cretins plied his ugly trade on around a dozen or so now fully completed refurbs, for a builder you have a long term relationship with that you'd rather not compromise. These are all signed off and insured under your scheme provider.
Of course he'll swear blind he's never done it before but his casual indifference suggests you shouldn't trust him as far as you could throw him.
