I want to replace a wire with an identical one, except longer. The text on the wire is: 300V XUANSHI C(UL) SJTO 105C FT1 4X0.824MM2(18AWG) E257497. I showed this to the guy at Home Depot, and he told me it meant 18 gauge (which I already knew), but couldn't provide any other information. I'd appreciate any help.

“300V” must be the max rated voltage the cable is designed for. I believe you use 220?

“Xuanshi” sounds like a Chinese manufacturer.

“105C” is max temperature the cable insulation can withstand in Celsius

Googling some of this info it brings up flexible cord.

You would have to go to your local electrical supply store to get the cord you’re looking for. Good luck
