Hi I have a second hand Megger MFT1720 and it shows error 23 and wanted to sell this, I have a hard case and all cables that come with it.
It was calibrated 2017 cert no STD45397 Serial no 101292160
What do you think it's worth with this error 23. apart from error this is in lovely condition.
Regards Joseph Hutchings

Thing is, MFTs are such a bread and butter tool that unless one comes up working and within calibration most pro sparks won’t be remotely interested.
It tends to be trainees who optimistically buy 2nd hand units and honestly regret the purchase most of the time.
So if it’s throwing up an error and out of calibration I’d have thought it would be well under £100 as by the time it is repaired and calibrated the money spent will exceed the 2nd hand price of a working and calibrated unit.
