Whilst rummaging around in a cupboard managed to lose the cap for my volt pen can these be bought as a spare part or anyhing?

Its not that old and dont want to fork out another 20 quid

you can probably go to the website for your volt pen and order a replacement but that depends on whether they provide replacement parts

That will rot yer guts a nice malt is the thing my Mrs asked me to buy myself one for xmas don't have the heart to tell her how much though

Ive been through about 4 of them in the last year, i had a fluke one that lasted about 3 years, but the megger one worked better so i swapped, i think the cap design lets it down

Put some tape around it and while your at it put a lead and attach to your belt, ive been using one for two years

Snapped the clip off mine and since then it's been the best thing that has happened to it
Taped it up with a good quantity of "insulting" tape and the top only come off now for battery changes.
Plus I always have a few wraps of tape handy.
I'm with you the fact it's a bad design, screw top would have been better.

Bad design on volt pen taped mine up on day 2 after purchase wasn't impressed , the led flickers a lot battery contact was an issue to so I put a few m4 washers in there , just a pointer others might have had the issue ? . Mine has worked perfect since
