Stocked up today on a few MK Sentry CUs as they are on offer in B&Q (10 way Splitloaders).

Have MK changed them recently? The case was **** thin, MCBs feel all loose and wonky on the din and the busbar is not insulated instead they just rely on the slot in cover.

Was really shocked with the quality, my old man has a MK sentry from 2008 and this is of high quality and completely different feel to today's equivalent.

Yeah they're rubbish mate.

Toolstation and Sfix sell em. Totally different from the properly priced CUs, with a lot less wiring space.

The first and last one I fitted, one of the RCD link wires was too short also.

Will never touch again

You'd be better off stocking up with the British General CUs TBH

On one of the ones I have there is bare conductor hanging out of the RCD as they have cropped back to much insulation or not pushed home the terminal enough.

Last MK board I used the main switch was ka-buggered

Also looking to switching to the BG range, split board with 8 MCBs, 2 RCBOs and 80A RCD for £50? Bargain

10 MCBs in the BG board ant they gone up to £55.

just fitted a 13 way BG. they're on offer at screwfix. £59.99 inc.
