I’m looking for some information if anyone can help at all, my partner is currently living in England and working as an industrial electrician for the past few years, he has a qualification of a level 3 JIB over there with one last nvq to do to be fully qualified. Firstly what would the equivalent be here to his current qualification? Wouldn’t any company take him on with that and also could he complete his last nvq here?
Thank you!

No he won't be able to complete it in ROI but he would if he came to the north they do the same qualification here as they do in the mainland. He would be better to finish it first as then he will be able to see what is equivalent in the south as it would be difficult to finish the NVQ there

So if he finished his last nvq there and was fully qualified would that be better than as he would be a fully qualified electrician either way.

It would save hassle more than anything it's difficult to match up the units and nvq etc because the courses are totally different. At least if he did it all in one place he could just apply for the equivalent here
