It's me:),
Hi everyone, just a question on multifunction testers.I'm wanting to buy one but as you all know there are so many to choose from but i'm just wondering which one do your guys reccommend,i'm asking because you will have a good idea as you use them all time.i know everybody has a different preference but i was looking at a megger 1553,whats your thoughts on them or could you point me in the direction of another brand. Before i pay out £500+i just want to make sure i have chosen a decent one before i buy
thanks for any ideas jason

i've got the the megger 1552
good tester but i wish i'd paid the extra for the 1553 which can print out your test sheets through your pc.
saves hours of writing test shets.
i've never used the illuminating test probe though.
dunno if they charge more for it

Depends on what you want if you dont need bluetooth the 1552 does everything apart from bluetooth that the 1553 plenty of makes and models out there so its really what you are happy with and what you want to pay so long as its 17th edition it will do all you want

Chris

Has anybody got the new Megger 1553 ? if so how do you rate it? would be nice to get some feed back from it as i'm thinking of buying one and wondered if it's as easy to use as they ( meaning megger) say it is

I have a 1553 and it's a 'cracking' piece of kit! And yes, it's a 'doddle' to use

Buy it, I personally don't think they get any better than this!
