Ok.

I finally expect a roasting here.

So I finally decided about 6 months ago I needed a tube carrier.

Brought and fitted a 3m Rhino.

Ohhh... Shiny says Dave...

So I popped everything long in plus some shorter off cuts and ... Wait for it.... My spirit levels...

So my question is, how do I get them out without removing the carrier from the roof?

The James Herriott method has mearly resulted in lost skin and an attempt to cut my own wrist. Aluminium is now claret stained.

Really really open to suggestions. Although.... Leaving the back of the carrier open, reversing fast and braking really hard may not be an option.

Thanks.
Dave

Doesn’t your pipe carrier have a little door at both ends? Open them both up and push it out from other end….

Or

Is the spirit levels metal? Go fishing with a magnet on the end of a long stick….

Or

Long piece of wood with a nail half hammered in to make a hook

Or

Get a friendly neighbourhood crane operator to pick your van up by the front, tipping it until vertical… all the bits fall out.

tie a few feet of 1.0mm single cable to levels and trap end of cable under rear door lip.

Actually I did something similar only with me it was a conduit bending spring that ended up stuck in the middle.
I had some 10mm cable so made the end into a hook.
