Back in August 1989 my mate played me an album that not only changed my life but also helped shape a

movement for the first time since Punk . August 31st 1989 I went out and bought "The Stone Roses" by " The

Stone Roses . This band were Totally original mop tops flares attitude and groove with out these there would

be no Oasis , Liam nicked all his moves off Ian Brown . The Stone Roses were the George Best of Music .

Through one thing or another by the time their second album came out 5 years there time had been and

gone . They never fulfilled their potential . At the end of the album they released this song which the last 3rd

IS the GREATEST Drums and GUITAR ever put down not only does it rock it effing grooves . For everyone

got the sally cinnamon ep while at college in late 87, actually think this is better than the first album,except maybe she bangs the drums which was a great song,agree oasis cant come anywhere near ian brown

Remember BOWLING through Bouremouth 3 of us all with walkmans this amongst others on mine before we

got into a party the house was totally smashed and the police had cordoned the road off . Later we

we went to " Kevs House " first time I had met cool down to earth club types .

I disagree Mr S this is them at their peak . However it s just one groove with I am it builds to Kick ---.

As for the Charlatans the name says it all

Gotta say I love Smiths ,Fall, Joy Division and know exactly what people are saying when mentioning

depression . But I DIG them big style .

Radio head on the other hand I have always found to be a bunch of miserable B... and have never seen the

appeal However I love that that song you posted where is it from ?
 
I know what you are saying Mr F about Radiohead.

It is a very acquired taste and it took me a loooooooong time to "get them", and im not convinced i still do.

I just listen to the music for what it is and not what its trying to be. Yes depressing, but i dont rely too much on the lyrics.

That track is from their latest album "In Rainbows". One of their best to date IMO.

I dont get to watch much telly, but the life and times of norman wisdom,followed by the Ospreys rugby magic and topped off with a guy who's talents may never be matched,yes leonard Cohen on tour at seventy something

First listened to his music 40 years ago and still a pleasure to do so
