No body will be coming to see anywork Nic or other 2 mtr distance.I’ve got my First Nic assessment coming up, the installation I’m proposing is an outside socket radial on 20 amp breaker and an outside light, my worry is the c/u is a plastic Crabtree about 10 yrs old, will this be ok
I’m not extending a lighting circuit, I’ve run a new one in, it was the board and breakers I was worried about not meeting Bs7671If you are extending a lighting circuit it will require additional rcd protection. As for the plastic consumer unit as long as it is safe for continued use don't worry about it.
im waiting to hear from them, but what do you think about the c/u ?Are they doing site visits again.? Had my assessment via FaceTime and pinged all the docs over to the assessor a couple of days prior.
It’s a split board both protected with Rcd sorry to sound nieve I’m not sure what to expect, it’s my first assessmentIf the consumer unit is safe for continued use it is not an issue. Both new circuits will require additional rcd protection.
