Can anyone help since the summer is coming when my solar started to rise is seems that I am using more eletric , I.e solar at 3.70 kW and my energy used is around the same can anyone help

There is 2 camps going to the solar unit and one clamp going to the eletric box

Yes I have done that , I have taken the clip off the eletric box and I am still getting a reading

Hi Twindecks. The most likely issue is that the CT clamp on the supply live tail needs to be flipped over so that it faces the other way around.

One of the two clamps measuring solar generation should be linked to the CT clamp on your supply live using a "Y" cable.

The CT clamp that is on the supply live must face in the opposite direction to the CT clamp on the the PV live otherwise the device adds the generation to the amount used from the grid rather than taking it away.

It is generally easier to access the CT clip on the supply live rather than on the PV live hence my suggestion.

All you need to do unclip the CT clamp, turn it 180 degrees and then clip it back on.

I hope this helps.

Andrew
