The bigger and more expensive version is manufactured for a reason
My post was not meant to be taken seriously!!!!

I posted that photo a while back in the dodgy trade pics. This was found in the bathroom at a retirement complex. A company had recently refurbished all the bathrooms in the complex and used non isolated shaver sockets in every bathroom, despite the red warning notice. The shower is just out of shot to the left.

I was there because the new plumbing in the bathroom of the apartment above was leaking, and water was coming out of the light fitting. I fitted a blank plate in place of the socket until someone could return and fit the correct item.

Given that a lot of homes no longer have a bath in the "bath" room should the regs embrace this and modify or include other types of wash room within the regs to avoid confusion or a bending of the intended meaning of particular regs

The regs don't refer to bathrooms, they refer to rooms containing a bath or shower.
