Pat testing rates

just after an idea what you guys charge for large amounts,

I only usually do the odd 10-20 items for landlords whist doing EICR's

I had a call from a mate who's wife works in a big office, the rough idea she had was
previously 50p a item and the bill was about £2000 so we talking a far amount of items.

Its only 2 min from my house and has 24/7 access so could be a few evening work for me and a few of my guys

Put it like this if you do 1 item every 5 minutes that's only £6.00 an hour at those rates. Personally we stick to £3.00 an item and average 10 per hour. Saying that we don't do much PATs only for a few regular clients.

50 p per item is ridiculous, but it is probably what the big sticker brigades charge, they will pay young lads peanuts to just go round putting stickers on without doing any meaningful testing.

Agree with Sintra, £3.00 a point the only way to make money, 50 pence is a farce, steer well clear of those rates.

we do pat testing properly. my drill chargers have never been pat tested though.

pat testing is a farce, if its damaged dont use it simple.

i dont recall news about people dropping dead before pat testing and its only been around a couple years outside goverment i believe but i could be wrong

We will do it for regular clients, and if asked when we are not exceptionally busy will do it, but only at our normal hourly rate.
