Eh up fellas, does anyone know of a decent software for PIR that can be done on a PDA then downloaded and printed from you computer? I've had a look at Amtec but have herd some stories that they aint so good. Can only have one board on a domestic with a maximum of 12 ways. Any info would be good i;m sick of sitting hear manually inputting data!!!!!

I,ve used Tysoft for a couple of years now and find it very good.
Not only PIRs but completion, minor works, emergency lighting and fire alarms.

Jury's out on pda.
I normally write the results down (you can print off a survey form) then enter the results later.
I do use a pda sometimes, in fact I did a board change to day and used mine. It takes longer on site but I've just synchronised with my laptop and other than the odd correction it's done.
I think the middle ground would be to have one of those mini laptops and take that to work.
On a computer it's easier to enter results as you see the form in front of you, with a pda you only get bits at a time and navigation is a bit cumbersome.
