Hey.

The charge stored by a capacitor is proportional to the voltage applied to it and this is said to be the capacitance of the capacitor.

This is the formula you need - C=Q/V

Where C = cpacitance measured in Farads
Q = total charge stored in coulombs
V = voltage

So 1 Farad is the capacitance which will accumulate a charge of 1 Coulomb when connected to a supply of 1 Volt.

Obviously you can transpose this formula to find any of the three values.

Ok sir thats i know, but my question is, is it take power(KW)? while it connected to load for improving power factor..
(Otherwise it supplies reactive power [KVAr] only with out taking real power[kw])

Ok I see what your asking now.

A Power Factor Correction Capacitor (PFCC) supplies reactive power (KVAr) to a system in order to correct a poor power factor without taking any active power (KW) out of it. Otherwise it would be continually working against itself to correct a problem that it itself was creating.

A capacitor connected across an AC supply will consume power because it takes current from the supply. You can calculate the current from the impedance of the capacitor at 50Hz (1/2*pi*f*C) then calculate the power consumption.
