Just thought I'd ask any other Certsure members here if they have experienced any delays in customers receiving Building Control Certs.
I am ELECSA and seem to have 2 certs from October outstanding.

I had another one earlier in the year that took 4 calls from me to chase and they finally agreed to send it recorded it also arrived a couple of months late.

Thanks

Tony

Hi

when I was with Certsure earlier in the year they were fine and prompt.

prior to that NAPIT were also good to go.

Now with STROMA and yet to be able to comment on that process :patriot:. However so far so good pretty impressed tbh....

What you need to realise is that now Elecsa uses the NICEIC system the cert doesn't get addressed to the individual - its addressed to the "homeowner" and my guess is that your clients are chucking them in the recycling.

I've registered my annoyance with Elecsa regarding this but they don't care.

The way "round" it is to select "send certificate to another" address and then you can reenter the address AND include the clients name.

Hope this helps

Hi Murdoch

Nope, didn't realise that it was addressed to "The Home Owner".... How crap is that.

Many thanks for the work around tip, although it doesn't say much for their all siging all dancing system.

Thanks again.

Tony

What was scary was the muppets on the Elecsa helpline didn't suggest the work around, they simply said there was nothing they could do!

Is it also my imagination, but has service from the help lines has also gone down hill both in terms of knowledge and availability of people to talk to?

Yup, gone done the toilet completely and hence why I don't bother calling them any more. When it was Elecsa they guys were knowledgeable and helpful .... but now they appear to know almost nothing.

Thought so.

Bugger. Oh well, I might see what other providers have to offer when the time comes to shell out.

Anyone have better luck with the others ?

Think yourself lucky that you are not with napsh*te , on the rare occasion that I have phoned them and actually got through , option 1 is for B&Q fitters and option 2 is for the standard members .
Now that just boils my pee , and it has been pointed out on more than one renewal visit !
