Yeah I'm a beginner, been at college since October, started late
Got a nights training off this site doing commercial in a bar
I also have a challenge in the trainee section if u haven't seen it
Then found paid work as a mate off this site too mainly rewires
Just waiting now with fingers crossed that my apprenticeship starts in September like the firm said

Just stick at it

Started my apprenticeship 18 months ago but was recently let go due to financial struggles. Still looking for another job now and maybe have a couple in the pipeline.I attend college 1 day a week ( C&G 2357 )

I have done mostly domestic work and odd bits of commercial including rewires, Board changes, lots of periodic testing.

Good luck with finding work and gaining experience it will be well worth it in the future:smile:

Everything happens for a reason an all that, i may have lined up a job in the agricultural side of things. It involves the electrical installation side of things and robotic milking systems for cows called voluntary milking systems. Very different to domestic work:smile:

That sounds interesting/different. My dad used to ride cows as a boy (he was a farm boy not into animals haha)

Yeh fate but life is unfair and gay at times

On the same course with simon, even in a company like i am who dont really care how you're getting on.

Its hard finding other work but have applied for various jobs. Its a difficult place to gain access to as alot of companies now are either looking to save money or cheap labour with 16 year olds.

Just gotta plough through it.

Been doing the theory for the 2357 for almost 2 years, i have 6 months experience on the tools doing contracting work on council sites including containment and wiring, still no job yet and been around all my local Electrical companies, it's tough out there just now.

One advantage i have gained is with me doing the 2357 it gave me great scope to get onto an HNC Built Environment through my local college.

Just gotta keep plugging away and eventually the hands of fate will open the doors.

Yes I started my apprenticeship in 1980, I still learn every day, I particular enjoy Howards and Richards posts, I feel like a newby everytime I read them, E54 and Tony have also forgotten more than I will ever know, a funny old game this electric Lark.
