Right guys im after some guidance on creating smoke from a volcano for my girlfriends younger sisters school project. I have suggested a smoke pellet but it may be too smokey, i then suggest bicarb and vinegar but this may be too messy. I was asked for a cheap electrical solution but i could not think of one so i hoped for help here. Battery power is preffered however mains is allowed as it will be under supervision. Any ideas out there?

You could buy a cheapish smoke machine, tape an extractor type hose to the end nozzle and follow it up into the volcano? i've seen one for about £30... Or hire a small one from a sound and lighting company?
