Would like your feedback please lads. large house finished, granny flat 5 meters away.Is it ok to split feed at meter(tails junction box)and run a 10 or 16mm supply straight to flat to new cu(also taking pme earth). Not sure of all regs (must be thick the regs are not in plain enough english for me)would appreciate your help ta.

Just run a distribution circuit from existing CU to a new board in the granny flat. Then rig this like a new 'un, RCDs and all. Depends on access/max load etc of course, but thats the way I would do it.
Not sure waht you mean by taking PME Earth with you? A new dist would be run down a single cable from the existing board.. 5 metres is nowt

yes thanks warren i am going to use swa ang gland wondered which method(split tails at meter,or take to existing cu,a lot harder)you would advise.ta
