because he crimps then solders, in that case it is a waste of solder.

if i crimp a cable they are tight together then solder to hold it together.

much better readings than using a steel through crimp

the solder just holds it together and your not moving it when the solder cools

i'd use a non-insulated butt crimp and cover with a bit of gn/y heat shrink. i'd probably forget to slide the h/s on first and have to cut and re-crimp, thought.

My god how many times I have done that, it's a bit like glancing swa, I cut it and splay it all then realise I've not put the hood on it.
