You need to sign up for a trade account with them to buy anything. Which is exactly why I havnt bothered.

Ive sent him a email. I never use normal trade accounts .I pay as I go ,to be able to buy from whoever I want . In 2021 a business needs to be very very confident about laying down "rules' hindering possible income .

I emailed them and they told me I had I had sign up. I doubt I'll ever bother with them again can't be bothered with people who want all your details just to buy their product.

THis will be my response also . All he needs is address and payment and a good feedback if the product is good !

The idea is that SBS only sell to the trade. You sign up with proof of your scheme membership, or qualifications, to enable you to order.

It prevents DIYers buying their CUs and having a bash.

Might make it slightly trickier to make your initial purchase but an approach that should be commended in the main.

SBS have been trading a fair few years, so restricting their customer base must have worked well enough up to now.

you can sign upfor a trade account as a cash sales. no need for a credit account. just remember, we all had to do it for electrofix at screwfix. no big deal.

LOvely email from them today > I see part of their issue . But will give them ago. Remember in some countries you can not even buy Brake pads for a car or a roll of cable unless you are approved by a Government scheme .None of this pay as you go schemes like in the UK !

That's basically it - he only wants to sell to people who have a clue. Comes across as a nice enough guy to deal with.
