I will not name the installer or the company he worked for.
A solax X1 AC inverter was fitted with a 6Kwh Li-ion battery and its controller pack
When it was registered the inverters serial number came up as 'Doesnt exist' and since installation, my laptop can 'See' the wifi dongle and solax have been sending a daily email with my production all at zero!!
The inverter isnt passing any info via wifi to the Solax cloud
The installer no longer works for the company that installed both my solar panels and the storage system and I am told they have passed my query to the original installer who has never kept in touch!
Stuffed am I not!!
 
The first thing establish with Solax is whether the actual Serial number is correct.
If it's not automatically passed through from the inverter at registration then the installer may have entered it wrongly.
 
I also had this problem when trying to use the Solax Portal (desktop) and the SolaX App. However, the SolaX Cloud desktop site, and the SolaX Cloud App both accepted my serial number and show me everything. I hope this assists.

Did you manage to connect your wifi dongle to your home network?

Everytime I typed in the obligatory admin/admin for username and PW, it wouldn’t log in. I then found a thread which said to input the Username as admin and the Password as your wifi dongles serial number. Worked a treat for me as it showed the IP being assigned after saving it.

Once I’d done this, I had the nightmare trying to set up my ‘site’ on the apps/desktop websites.

I discovered that not everyone can use the Solax Portal desktop site and associated SolaX App… it wouldn’t accept my serial number despite it being correct.

I tried with the SolaX Cloud desktop site and the SolaX Cloud App.

It worked perfectly and I now have everything visible on my phone and my laptop.

I hope this helps others… if I’d known all of this it would have saved me days and hours of research.

On a final note, if you’re trying to setup your wifi dongle and the site http://5.8.8.8 isn’t working, then try this one http://11.11.11.1

I guarantee one of them will work!
 
I'm an installer and have found issues with this too - whilst this may not help the op, if anyone encounters this issue, it is likely that the dongle serial number has been previously registered. If you contact Solax, they will be able to unbind it from it's previous registration which will enable you to use it. I have now had to do this on a number of occasions

Im Michael from Denmark who has the exactly same problem with the dongle serial number has been previously registered. Can you help with a Solax contact ?, or Can you even help me with having it unbind?

Please, im a completely rookie with this solar thing and are quite desperate….🙏, Thank you from Michael/🇩🇰
