Hi, Went to a job this morning to change a few lights & install an additional socket. This was a building where the owners have decided to rent out half of the building as they are not using it. They have completely sectioned it off, ripped all the electrics out. A 60A fuse from the old half of the building is feeding a meter installed by the electricians, then 6mm T&E feeds the new sub-main. The cpc of the 6mm T&E has been cut out & replaced with a 6mm back to the MET. It has also been completely rewired. M.P.bonding is 6mm. The earthing system is pme, the new half is to be hair dresser's. They are also talking about installing electric heaters!!!
Am i correct in saying even if it a sub-main the bonds should be in 10mm & the sub-main earth should be at least 16mm as it is pme. The fuse is incorrect for 6mm. I cannot understand why they have put in 6mm tails for commercial premises.
