Thought I share this with you, arrived on site to start a 1st fix on school classrooms, saw temp electrics to cabins, for site agent & mess rm.First impression rough,sy cable used ,we all know hassle with that, looked at DB ,hanging from the DB a 10 mm earth cable, not connected.Asked site agent who did the temps,it wasn't our company,so carried on with my other works.
later on,site agent wants some temp external power installed,& wants us to do it.
So installed power,& tested,Supply cable loop impedance,at DB did not comply,& would not disconnect on fault conditions.
Earth for temps,Swa sheath used, does not comply.
Earth cable from DB not connected to earth rod.
So,told site agent,he called guys who installed electrics, they phone me,the complete nonsense & crap from the electrician & his boss,I really could not believe, giving me its ok, the mcb will be fine you are allowed 2 ohms on a 40 amp c type.
Anyway the 2 electricians come over, spoke to them about my opinions, that went down well,No,they put a rcd upfront, sat in the van, still no electrode fitted, frustrating, does anyone care.
By the way it's a pme system.

Will they even bother looking, the company who employed them think they are wonderful, haven't yet seen certificate, still no proper earthing system, still Pme to metal cabins & no real main bonding.
