Working overseas a lot exposed me to a lot of local concoctions, slivovichs (think that's how to spell it) quite lethal stuff, so much so that when I sliced my hand open whilst working in Belgrade, I was told I needed about 7 stitched, fine I thought until Dr Mengele arrived to stitch up my hand, "oye I said what a bout an anesthetic" he proceeded to pour me some of the afoe mentioned liquor, tasted like S H one T but after a few moments it began to work, don't what hurt the mos my sliced hand or the hangover.

I'm into IPA at the moment, that or wine. Wife is very into her wine selection and comes up with some amazing stuff. Best bit is normally no hangover!
When I was in the Gulf there was some local stuff that came in a 1lt bottle. You had to cut it with water to make 4lt then treat as a short!! That was nasty stuff!!

Pint of Guiness if I'm out, which happens perhaps twice a year! Or a bottle of Innis and Gunn every couple of weeks at home. You'll know when I'm sat down at the forum whilst having the Innis and Gunn as I think I become very witty, which of course I dont!

I partial to a baileys no ice with a spanish Brandy in it... my local does one for me although the name of the Brandy elludes me.

Just cracked one of these bad boys open. A gift I was given in May I nearly forgot about. Highly recommended!

Keo beer from Cyprus, nice, trouble is to much and you get a banging head for a few days, still it's a good way to get a headache

Not had a drink since about last August, nothing behind it other than I just got up one day and decided I had had enough. I had started to slow down with the beer when I started the business and it just went from there, I like to know that at any given time i can jump in my van and drive without the worry of being over the limit.

Also it is great waking up everyday day with a clear head, Anyway that's enough boring and sensible advice from me!!

PS for the record when I did drink it was Carling, Famous grouse, vodka redbull, southern comfort. Not all in one glass by the way.

Can you please move this to a non-alcoholics thread ;) - no shandy pants allowed in here! :49:

I like the sharp kick of a JD ..but Ill only ever do a few shot at most - no ice of course ..never could work out why people dilute a sharp whisky when its on its own ... it kind of beats the object of what its about....

It's way to gassy though! Tastes good, but burping every other word gets a bit much... Burp!

HOW MUCH!!!!! Went to a wedding evening last night at a swanky hotel in the sticks.

Pint of bitter and a double JD & coke, £16.20!!!!! I almost fell over in shock and my wallet is now receiving one to one counselling! £5.10 for a single shot of JD (x2) then £2 for a dash of coke. Unbelievable.

It wasn't the mecure at Bingley was it? That's got to be the most expensive place I know for drinks, total rip off and then after 8 the prices go up!
