Need advice please, I've been reading alot on spds and came across this, please read the picture I have posted, I am querying "equipment" if the type 2 spd is installed say before the fuseboard in a separate enclosure are we then classing the fuseboard as "equipment" and will the spd then protect everything downstream, or, do we interpret this this way... an spd type 2 fitted withing a fuseboard, you have a mains smoke alarm circuit for example where a smoke alarm is situated further than 10meters via a conductor, will this then be vulnerable as per statement in the image attached, advice and opinions more than welcome please.
