Vaillant Eco Pro 30 - no call for heat

Not getting a call for heat when motorised valve opens. There's continuity between switched live on the motorised valve and the RT terminal in the boiler. The valve seems to be operating. The combi works fine on the hot water side.

I've removed the 24V RT bridge as per the installation manual

What am I missing?

For test purposes I've just put in a switch. Will have a Hive eventually .

Between permanent live grey ( combi and motorised valve) and switched live - brown (on the motorised valve) , in effect replacing the stat. Orange is connected to the RT terminal.

Are you getting 230v on the RT terminal?

And if this is a new boiler install, have you turned on heating through the boiler menu, on Vaillant it is turned off by default so needs turned on.
