Hello im 19 and have completed lvl 1-3 electrical installation 2365 and about to get my 17th edition and testing qualifications. im a bit confused on what cscs card i should get do i just get a cscs labourer card or something else? might sound a bit stupid but yeah

If you have completed 2365 level 2 and 3 (not sure where you got 1 from) then you may be able to get an ECS trainee electrician card depending on what you are doing.
Failing that a CSCS card would get you on site but may not permit electrical work.

If you translate 2365 to 2330 or 2360 or 2351 as previous incarnations:
From the ECS website:
To be eligible for an ECS Trainee Electrician card, applicants must:

Be a trainee who is not a ‘bona fide’ Advanced Modern Apprentice (AMA) and able to supply one of the following sets of documentation, which will determine the level of trainee electrician card awarded:

Trainee electrician (Stage 1)
A copy of your City & Guilds 2360 Part one, 2351 Units 1,2,3 & 4 or EAL Certificate in Electrotechnical Technology Level 2 –plus your Employer’s sponsorship (See Section 1c of the application form)

Trainee electrician (Stage 2)
A copy of your City & Guilds 2360 Parts One & Two, 2351 - All eight units or EAL Certificate in Electrotechnical Technology Level 3 –plus your Employer’s sponsorship (See Section 1c of the application form)

Trainee electrician (Stage 3)
A copy of your City & Guilds 2360 Parts One & Two, 2351 - All eight units or EAL Certificates in Electrotechnical Technology Level 2 & 3 –plus your Employer’s sponsorship (See Section 1c of the application form). In addition, evidence that you are working towards the AM2 and level NVQ 3 in your chosen field is required

– and –

Hold a current (up-to-date) Health & Safety Certificate or recognised H&S qualification.

You don't need to do the 17th edition, you trained to that edition JIB will still issue you with a gold card if you complete NVQ and AM2 (when you get there ) put the money towards something worthwhile... I.e. Beer, AM2 or NVQ 3

You could try English Literature whilst at college as well.

I'm similar to OP but got graded 'ancillary operative', upon asking for a description they said they were not sure what it was and I was lazy for not getting other qualifications after college....

Needless to say the JIB are one of my least favourite pointless middlemen schemes

Iam in the same position, ecs won't give you a card unless you are on a nvq and employed even if it's just a trainee card and cscs say you need to speak to ecs. Bull**** really I've ended up with a temp 6 month cscs card. Although I've never heard of this ecs card without a sponsor, that sounds promising but no doubt there will be a catch somewhere.

The Health & Safety Assessment Certificate is valid for 2 years, and an ECS card must be applied for within that time. Thereafter, the ECS card is valid for 3 years. A subsequent Health & Safety Assessment will need to be taken in order to renew the card at the end of this 3-year period.

An ECS card is valid for 3 years. At this point it must be renewed, and the holder will have to sit a subsequent Health & Safety assessment in order to obtain an up-to-date H&S certificate.

The standard ECS card fee is £36.00, which includes VAT.
An ECS Health & Safety certificate, has a separate charge to sit the assessment: £42.00 including VAT.

I've just sorted mine out, you get a ecs labourers card which is an unskilled card but that's all we can have until you get on a nvq because the trainee card needs qualifications you don't get off 2365 course. The test is 42 quid. I have been and done that recently, and the card is 36. I have just posted mine, you don't need a sponsor or proof of qualifications for the labourers card.
