Are you running for priminister, if so you have got my vote

I like some of that, you must be a closet socialist :)
Im with you on Murdoch's list but I do wish to emphasise the word some lol. Parts are unworkable but I find myself agreeing with a few.
My fav that I have been on about for years is
21. MP's can only represent the area they live in, and must have resided for minimum 5 years and with a minimum of 15 years work experince in the private sector
I even stated before that I think the system is buggered with regards to this and the appointment of "ministers" - they appoint people to be minister for education ect when that minister's only experience in the field is that he went to school lol.
Same for all the other ministerial posts....I would like to see them handed out at the beginning of government and only to that parties "expert" in the given field...No reshuffles or any of that rubbish they are there to implement government policy and should have 5 full years to do so.

Also I would like MP recall by their constituents if they have not carried out (Or made inroads) to their pledge to get into office be that locally or nationally.

No.8 sounds like you're talking about moving all the county boundaries simply for the sake of making all the constituencies the same size for some reason. This still wouldn't ensure equal representation because the population density would still vary.
It would be a load of expensive upheaval and destruction of regional identity for no real gain.

Not talking about moving county boundaries. Simply suggesting that all constituancies should have about the same number of potential voters in them.

Never wondered why one party needs a 5% advantage in the polls to get an equal footing with another?

So how would that work? Under the current system each part of a constituency has the same police force, fire brigade, NHS trust, council, bus company, education authority etc. Moving the boundaries for the sake of MPs having an equal number of constituents could mean an MP has to deal with more than one of these bodies (eg 2 different councils) so it would be harder to ensure consistency throughout the constituency.

I believe that we already have Constituencies which cover areas of neighbouring Councils etc.
One Constituency that I am aware of, Leyton which is in the Borough of Waltham Forest, includes part of Stratford (Newham) and Wanstead (Redbridge).

I am all for fewer chiefs in the public sector, with more Indians on the front line, we would be better off

Number 6 - just cant envisage a system where it could work
Number 11 - As much as we all love to hate Mp's they do have to live after politics you could never expect them to have zero income for 5 years....or are you willing to pay them for 5 years at the same rate for doing nothing ? **Having said that I DO think that a block could/should be in place where they have effected the fortunes of a company through either asking questions or even chairing committees.....I would love to see a bar on Mp's ever being allowed to gain through something the did when in office.
Maybe better just to throw the spot light firmly on lobby groups and how a question/policy makes its way through the house....it really isnt all that transparent how some policies get rushed and hushed through without anybody noticing lol.
13,14,15,16 are all questionable....We now do have devolved governments so how they spend their cash should be up to them. The Barnett formula will exist in one form or another as long as there is a UK.....it is just a system to distribute funds in reality.
I agree with english votes for english laws.....BUT only if we retain devolution...cant have it both ways really.
19 - maybe
20 - dead against
22.....bloody unfair on the networks who have invested...surprised you like this idea tbh
32 - bit harsh lol
33 - piff....who would want to do this and to what end ? We all go on about trimming the public sector....think about how many of those pesky public sector jobs we would need to do this ...apart from the fact that it is a major intrusion......I would venture that "most" unemployed people are quite normal down on their luck people who are 1. struggling with cash worries and 2. are bloody desperate for the phone to go offering them a return to work. I just don't see the need to harass people when they are down.
I didnt really want to take your list apart as it seems im nit picking when in reality overall I though not a bad set of policies.

300 people assigned to tracking down tax dodges to the tune of an estimated £120 billion.
3000 people assigned to tracking down an estimated £1.2 billion in benefits wrongly claimed/defrauded.
Says it all really doesn't it?

Hahaha!!!
Most of these muppets who whinge on and on about benefit fraud and the like, just haven't got a clue about the silly numbers involved in a 21st Century economy.
