Which earthing type is this??

Been asked by a Friend who’s doing a self build to identify this cut out, he’s not local to me so I can’t visit site to look myself,
Looks like tncs/pme to me by the pics but with no labels how can you know for sure if it’s not a TT? I’ve told him to contact ukpn in the meantime..

impossible tosay. PME may be there but only DNO can tell. as it stands there is no earth.

Get him to send a picture of the side of the cut out, the N side. Guess there will be entry points in there to put earth in.

He said there is no side entry on N only top 3 ports

Looking at the pic the neutral has not Been sealed. So I think PME.

is it a dno supply? has the look of a private metered supply from somewhere.

Normally the dno won't install a supply if there is nothing to supply.

I can see no outgoing tails.

If it is a construction site the provider is not likely to give you an earthing facility.

The meter is energised sealed, but no out going tails.?

As per Westward if this is a construction site it will be TT.

On a new supply it should be clearly identified if it is a TNCS or TNS supply.

Yep my friend has just Heard back from ukpn he needs to provide his own Earth.
