Hi lads,

Can you advise on best choice in terms of a proving unit to accompany Fluke T130 voltage indicator I am planning to buy.

Some are 240V, others 400V. Not sure which one I need, you can tell I am new to this. Thanks in advance

Andy

Martindale PD690,had it for years.

I have a Martindale yellow thing. One day I may get round to using it.

them holes in the front are for sticking your probes in. not for setting chopsticks in the dishwasher.

the regs state use a proving unit or known source, prove live side of the isolator etc ffs

You don't know me very well bonny lad.

There's not a chucking fance of my probe ever fitting into anything as small as that!!

That model of Fluke has 'self prove' on it. It's all I ever do for mine.

Which model do you mean?

The T110 and T150's have self prove - you hold the tips together for a few seconds and it runs an internal diagnostic and lights every indicator to test.

I had one that broke like that in less than 2 weeks.

Yeah I use a fluke t150. Good bit of kit imo. I thought you meant the T5 model had self test hence asking. :)
