There is nothing wrong with it, would be lovely, just that we all need to eat and drink. So long as the 1% have over 50% of the world's wealth, it's not going to change in our lifetime

I enjoy these political debates, there are so many opposing views

I suppose the economics and the decision about who is better to govern is secondary to my personal attitude

I can think of a situation where a bottle of water is owned by two people who are in need of that water to survive!

For the individual there are two options
1)
You share the bottle of water in order for both to get a chance to survive,it may not be the best assurance of survival but each has opportunity
2)
You grab the bottle and sieze the whole lot,the other guy falls by the wayside and you survive
This is the most assured way one person will make it through

Decide what action you would take and that will determine whether you are right wing, a Tory, or Left wing, a socialist

The Ukip party just want to break the bottle, spill the water and no one gets out alive

What's so wrong about fairness?

On its own, its a pretty un-offensive position to take, except who decides what is fair and who will it naturally be unfair to.
I remember statements like "those with the broadest shoulders should carry the heaviest burden" - when referring to raising taxes, Because its fair ... except this sounds really wonderful that a minority would happy to work 60 plus hours a week, take huge financial risks to create and run a business only to hand most of the profit for all this work and risk to the government because its fair to give loads of your money to "the needy".

Now any right minded individual who asks himself, shall I work all these hours and take all these risks so the government can spend it how THEY like, or shall I not. Labour have a great track record of getting the wealth creators to run off and do their wealth creating somewhere else,

THATS WHATS WRONG WITH IT

Compare Britain to almost any other country in the world.

We pay our taxes so we have,

Free national health service.

Free education

A police service that is relatively non corrupt.

An army that won't turn on it's own.

And to be fair loads of other things that south america, asia, east europe, China, India ....... Ad nauseum ......

Don't have.

Someone explain to me why the UK is so bad.

Because very soon, if we carry on the way we are;

We won't have a free NHS

We won't have free education

We won't have a police force that is properly equipped to protect us

We won't have an army full stop

Maybe it's best not to let it get to that instead of comparing us in our current situation to other countries that have ventured further down that rabbit hole and saying that everything is hunky dory.

Creeping privatisation to schools and hospitals.

Constant cuts to the police and forces.

Capitalism is the legitimate racket of the ruling class. As someone once said to me; "it's all about the benjamins".

Well we all look after the pennies.

otherwise we'd all be skint and out of business.

TBH I don't care about immigration or dole scroungers.

All I care about is increasing the mental health budget.

Nick Clegg said he would do it so I'll vote for him.

You clearly have no idea of what actual fascism is then.

OK, the fascism was for effect!
But how can you seriously consider voting for someone who doesn't read or listen to music, what a brain dead moron! (him, not you! :) )
Nigel Farage admits he 'doesn?t listen to music, watch TV or read' ? and that he's 'stretched' leading Ukip and running to become an MP - General Election 2015 - UK Politics - The Independent

I admit I was almost starting to listen to him until I saw that.

Labour, why? I'm a Working Class Socialist.

Unless your a Tory prime minister of course sending them into south wales

I may be left wing but I'm far from a loony. Using your vote to pi$$ me off is 1 a bloody ridiculous waste of your vote and 2 extremely unlikely to, as you say, pi$$ me off.

It is a strange thing to do, waste your vote on private joke that only you are in on.
Will you come out of the polling station giggling to yourself?

I think I'd know a loony if I saw one.
