......... then I would'nt have to ask questions like these:-
Hi guys just been looking around the net for electrical books and just wondering about good books to have. I have bs7671, GN3 and on site guide and a few college standard books trevor linsley, Any recommendations? i am interested in getting the electricians guide to the building regs i dont know if you guys recommend it? Thanks.
Hi ashamed to say since ive left college ive forgotten a lot of the calcs as i work directly under engineers in a contracting firm so have never had the need to use them really bar cable calcs which is relatively basic in most cases,
can you clever engineer types possibly list a few of the good ones that you regularly use please???
like voltage drop, diversity, how you ensure circuits will meet maximum permitted zs etc
(the reason i ask is im still torn between continuing my education toward design and calculation and would like a reminder and im not being lazy all my books are on my mates van and all notes i have are at my mothers house).
Hi as title says just interested in what you other sparks would do in this situation. Im a spark on the books with a contracting company so bar my JIB card I am not registered with any scheme and never have been so am a bit unaware of what you self employed sparks would do in my situation. I know a lot of sparks who have wired their own houses and just kept it to themselves without notifying the LABC or being on any scheme at all. Can you sprks tell me the pros and cons of either stuation notifying the LABC or just doing it without. Im not looking for a loophole or to do anything wrong but as i mentioned this is my house and im not wiring it and renovating it to sell straight away Thanks in advance.
