Need one for tomorrow. So I visit 3 HUGE suppliers .None have any and one even said "Just heard about them last week " And they have been on the market for how long ? !!! How come the reps are not on the ball or the suppliers buyers ?

Make up your own Walsall usually have in stock the connectors and boxes with DIN rails. Thats the way I do it just seen these latest offerings from Wiska and they are just not right for what I need and don't appear to be able to be flexible and interchange parts for different needs.

He means a CU 'relocator'. Basically a pre made version of an enclosure with a DIN rail and terminals

I've just googled it, not sure it's something I'd ever use though!

Has anyone worked out if there's any actual cost saving over buying a box and some DIN rail terminals?

True...they are limited

Chances are there's little demand for these things, which might explain why wholesalers aren't stocking them. Maybe customer demand will change that, maybe Wago will do some deal to get them on shelves and create demand or maybe the Youtube influencers who have been sent these to promote need to try a bit harder.

To me they look like another triumph of marketing.
They remind me of the 'fully populated CU' which suddenly appeared all over the shop a few years ago, a one size doesn't quite fit anything solution to a problem that didn't really exist.

They seem expensive, over £60. I usually use a £10 gewiss box and wagos/ideal connectors for this sort of thing. Can't see the need for the din rail personally.

Using DIN rail terminals helps to keep things neat and tidy when you've got a lot of connections in one enclosure.

For small numbers of cables I agree wago's are just as good, but with lots of cables I prefer to use DIN terminals.
