Good evening all

What do you guys write under the following on your EICR forms

1. Extend of the electrical installation covered by this report What it says. If the EICR covers the entire installation then state that, if it only covers the house and not the garage state that

2. Agreeded limitations This is limitations agreed with the client. Technically you would discuss the extent of testing and inspection with the client prior to work commencing. If the client decides they want to save money by omitting the R1+R2 test that would be an agreed limitation.

3. Operational limitations This would be (for example) where access to a part of the installation was not possible at the time of the inspection, perhaps because of a safety issue if the correct access equipment was not available. This would be stated in this section

Cheers

My answers in red

1 write down what you agreed to inspected and test with the customer For example. inspection of all identified fix wiring and 25 % of accessories within the installation

2 write down the limitations you agreed with the customer before hand. For example the customer does not want you to do any inspection of the shed write that down

3 write down any limitations you come across during the inspection. For example. limited testing and inspection of socket in garage due to the garage full of boxes .
